Poetry North and Kulvert present: A poetry reading by Tom Pickard with support and musical interludes. There will also be a limited open mic. The event starts at 6pm, Monday 22nd July.

Tom Pickard founded the Morden Tower bookshop with Connie Pickard in 1963, where poets including Basil Bunting, Allen Ginsberg, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Robert Creeley, Ed Dorn and Alexander Trocchi performed. His collected poems 'Hoyoot: Collected Poems and Songs' were released in 2014, which was followed by Winter Migrants (2016) and Fiends Fell (2017).

Poetry in the North is a free monthly poetry meet at Estate Tea Co, organised through a love of spoken word and an intent to provide an alternative to the performative aspects of poetry readings.

Kulvert is an upcoming Newcastle based press that specialises in poetry.
